Who We Are

Steve and Lisa Merrill relocated to New Hampshire after high-tech careers in Massachusetts.  Steve was in sales for a telecommunications equipment company and Lisa was in charge of production for a major text book publishing company.  After years of a fast-paced lifestyle we decided to slow things down a bit and enjoy life while raising our children in beautiful New Hampshire.

Our Plan

Lisa and I purchased the store in 2006 and began in earnest to transform the store into a local landmark.  We started with a major renovation of the building in Spring 2007 that transformed the store into an Adirondack-Style lodge (see the "before" and "after" photos in our photo album).  The renovations will enter a second phase in Fall 2007.  The project should be completed by Christmas 2007.

The result will be a meeting place where local residents and tourists alike can have a cup of coffee and enjoy the Squam Lake and Holderness community.
